Now it's not so new, we're about 3 weeks or so in, but that's not stopping me from writing this review cause I can do that.



I just discovered this rapping songstress about 2-3 months ago and regained hope for the Hip Hop community immediately, and when I got wind of she and Timbaland were joining forces on not just one but two songs? Let me just tell you my little heart couldn't handle it.

Timbaland himself said that Aaliyah herself appeared to him in a dream to tell him "Tink is the one." If you ask me, there's no doubt about this at all. Back to the review though.

I was so excited for this drop, it was unreal. I listened immediately, from beginning to end and genuinely loved each song. If I had to pick some favorites, they would more than likely be:

I'll explain why these are my favorites.

1. L.E.A.S.H.
"Never needed me a leash, these n*ggas need me and that's fact...Just don't never get attached, they be right here runnin' back... And if you let it ring for like a couple times he'll be wonderin what got you occupied, this money"

Just a few lyrics that stuck to my head. I think these are pretty self-exclamatory, as are the rest of her songs. My interpretation? Don't sweat any man, focus on you and your money and hustle, and they'll sweat you. Who doesn't love an independent woman who's all about her business?

2. Medicine Interlude
"Did I not give you 25 chances? Did you not take what all I gave for granted?.. Did you not think that you ever miss this?..Ain't really much to say once you shown how you get down... Baby told you turned me could, it's your turn to have a dose"

Not to bring up my personal life, but ain't this just timely? I love how strong it shows her to be, to be able to move on, though she'll always remember what 'he' did, she's over his lies and games and she's ready to give him the same dose of medicine, treat him the same way he treated her. Bet he won't like that too much.

3. There's somebody Else
"If there's someone else just tell me... Broke my heart in two, didn't expect him to say yes... Does she adore you in love, like I do?... She must be some kind of superwoman to take you away from the only one that came to your side... That explains why you don't act the same nomore"

If this doesn't just put you in all your feelings automatically, I don't know what will. Most of us have definitely been to this point with someone, man or woman, when we notice a change in our partner. The accusation versus the reality, are two completely different feelings and this song just summed everything up that has been through my head at a moment like this.

All in all, this has to be one of my favorite drops of 2015, Tink definitely did not disappoint. If you haven't heard it yet, you need to immediately, like literally right after you're done with this post (link is attached to picture above).
