No no, I'm not talking about that Netflix and chill, you dirty little children. I mean the clean version, that you do on the weekend when you're completely exhausted from your long week of school or work. I use to think Netflix was dumb and overrated but I was soo wrong.
Glee
Okay so honestly, didn't ever think I would get into this show. I'm only into the... 3rd episode I believe? And yes, I do believe I am hooked. I thought it was just some stupid high school musical show, but it's really not. Matter of fact, I'll tell you why I started to watch it. I was on YouTube and it was an episode clip where this young man, I believe he may have been in transition? And he had to use the rest room and of course he still has to use the boys bathroom and the boys snatched off his wig and threw it in the toilet. I was so infuriated that I was like no, I need to watch this nonsense and yeah here I am.
Twisted
I will not act like I watched the whole series, I fell out of it. HOWEVER, it's really a good show. I never had a show (beside PLL & Eye Candy), that had me so stumped as to what happened and why. This is definitely a good suspense/mystery TV series. I must hand it to ABC Family because they really know how to hook you.
The Fosters
Now, this show caught me by surprise as far as my interest in it. I think it was all with the way it started, it really caught my attention with Callie's background and her history. Then the whole idea of two moms and them being able to become foster parents, because in reality that's actually still an issue with so many couples, so they gained my respect for that reason. Then the inside drama, Callie not knowing her real father, her issue with Brandon, Jude trying to find himself, the twins dealing with their personal issues, it all began focusing on Callie and Jude then you get drawn into their whole family.
Movies
Call Me Crazy: A Five Film
This movie had been sitting in my list for weeks until one night there was nothing else to watch. I fell in love. This movie follows 5 seperate people who suffer with different mental/emotional illnesses, how it affects them, as well as those who are around them. I think anyone who has someone in their life suffering with something like this, should watch this movie. The actors that were cast were so well chosen, they really place you into their lives and show you how hard it is dealing with each problem. Really inspiring film, honestly.

Okay, here's one for the guys! This movie is definitely action packed, it sort of remains me of Takers in a way. It's about a guy, who was hard on cash, so he joins a group of... I don't know how to explain them. At first they were basically the middle man. They get 'packages' and take them to whoever they were suppose to take it. After a while, they stopped being the middle man, and upgraded to being the big guys upstairs. My description is probably horrible, but listen, just watch it. Thank me later.
Remember Me
I loooveee this movie, you guys don't understand. I won't even tell you what it's all based around, you'll find out at the end if you really pay attention, it shocked the life out of me. Moral of the story, a guy and his buddy get in trouble with the law, next day they see the cop's daughter and made a bet - he sleeps with his daughter just to get back at the cop. It may or may not sound like a great movie to you but trust me, it's not even a love story, it involves his family, his deadbeat father, how all of them are handling the death of his older brother. Just watch the movie.
White Chicks
Just for good laughs, I'm not even into comedies that much but this one cracks me up each time and trust me I've watched it soo many times by now, I can recite it.

Throwbacks:
Netflix is so awesome for having such older cartoons.
Recess, Lilo & Stitch, Rugrats, Powerpuff Girls, Cadet Kelly, House of Mouse, JIMMY NEUTRON, Goofy Movie, Sharkboy & LavaGirl, Hey Arnold, Totally Spies.

This is just the things I usually have as go-to watches.
I hope this may have helped you guys if you were in a Netflix rut.
This isn't goodbye, it's see you later, until next time!
So, just about everyday during work when I'm less busy, I find myself on Netflix checking the recently added section so I can add to my list for my movie day that week. With that being ssaaiiddd, I'm going to share with you guys some of my favorite movies and series to watch on those days that I feed my face and stay in my pajamas.
TV Series:
Pretty Little Liars
okay, so a lot of guys think this is like some chick-flick show... it is. BUT, guys can sooo appreciate this if you're into shows that are super hard to figure out and once you think you've gotten it you get proved completely wrong, if that's what you want - this is for you.

I just found out the premiere date (November 24th), am I the only one freaking out? Like, seriously I've never been so addicted to a show in my life the way I'm addicted to this group of girls right here. I didn't join the hype until June of this year when there was nothing good to watch on Netflix and my cousin convinced me to watch this show, I had to like binge watch before season 6A had begun. I can't breathe right now, like dis tew much.
So, Allison is a teacher AND MARRIED? Like what? I know someone caught her last name on that chalk bored during the sneak peak on the season finale. Who's last name was Rollins? Can't even remember, doesn't even matter, she's married like what? Okay, so I don't think she married the officer she was involved with, because that's too easy. I think she married someone that is completely and totally unexpected. I didn't even think that marriage was in her future, I nearly threw my remote at the screen but ok next.
I was watching a few vine clips of a press conference the girls were having about the new season, and Lucy Hale (Aria), was saying that Aria and Ezra will probably always be apart of each others lives. I don't know about you guys but from the first episode that Ezra appeared in, I was immediately on #TeamEzria like are you serious? I need a real life Ezra immediately, is there any way I can order one?
Can we talk about bae? I mean Spencer. Definitely my favorite little liar since Ep. 1, I know this is pretty irrelevant to the show but did she not look amazing with those bangs of hers? Yas honey. Anyway, I have a feeling she went back to the UK for a bit, did some studies maybe? Out of all the couples, I think she and Toby may still be together, not sure why I think that but it's definitely a gut feeling.
Hanna Banana! My other favorite little liar, I loved the fact that she never sat around and talked about speculations with the other girls, she'd just jump into the problem and looked for a solution, hands on. Ashley mentioned during the press conference that Hanna had some 'Devil Wears Prada' action, which of course is no surprise. I'm sure she'll be back in action solving all the girls mysteries on some Louboutin's. I feel that #Haleb may still be a thing too, who knows though, I think Caleb was getting a little stressed towards he end of the season with all the drama happening so, we'll see.
Emily (Shay Mitchell) looked fan-freakin-tasic in that little sneak peak during the season finale! I think this time around, she's going to be a tad bit more of a tough cookie this time around, you could tell she was becoming more of a little warrior princess towards the middle of the last season. I use to think that Mya was going to magically appear again, but now that we know that's not going to happen, I'm sure Paige is going to surface again once more, not that I think she'll stay around but yeah whateverrrr.
Anyways, am I literally the only person excited about the fact there's still someone out to get Ally? Maybe it's just me, and I'm okay with that. Howeveerrrrr, I hope #Ezria is still a thing, like out of all other hopes, I hope that is an actual thing. Okay, I'm done rambling. Can someone please DM me or write me so we can like fangirl together? Thanks.
This isn't goodbye, it's see you later, until next time!
I'm the worst ever for missing Tuesday's post, I'm sorry to those who actually pay attention to this little blog of mine, writer's blog is the worst. Anyways though! Let's get on with today's topic, shall we?
Anxiety and stress are two things in which I deal with on a very serious level, both can become very crippling to the mental and emotional state of a person. I always struggled with knowing how to deal with either, while anxiety I'm still learning how to cope with, I've found a way to ease my stress in a large way. How have I been able to cope? Well, I will tell you.
I cope with stress by writing, its one of the reasons I started this blog in the first place. Stress is very difficult to deal with, there was a time where I didn't have such a healthy solution, but eventually I began to write poetry and after that I found my place in this mixed up world. I write way better than I speak, as far as my feelings and thoughts go, writing everything down comes so easy to me oppose to speaking, where things began to get all fumbled. That's just how I deal with certain issues, maybe writing isn't for you, and if not, I have a few other suggestions.
If you suffer with panic attacks:
I suffer with uncontrolled panic attacks, and they strike at literally any time they feel like it. These suggestions may sound cliche or cheesy, but I promise they work -
• Breathe in 1,2,3 and breathe out 3,2,1 and as you breathe say the numbers to yourself.
- I didn't believe this worked, but once the attack was so bad I was willing to try anything and I did, within a few seconds I could catch my breath again.
• Find a focus object (i.e., a tree, a flower, a teddy bear).
- Find something to stare at and think about what you're looking at. If you have a stuffed teddy bear, think about it's eyes, the color of its nose, if it has clothing think about the colors, give it a name if you haven't or look around your room and describe the things you see.
• Relax as much as possible.
- Easier said than done, I know trust me, but I realized the more I thought about relaxing instead of just doing it, the worst the attack became. If you're among other people when the attack happens, excuse yourself as calmly as possible and find the nearest bathroom or quiet area. Don't think about what other may be thinking as to why you left, paranoia will only make matters worst.
Relieving stress:
This really entails anything that you personally find pleasurable, but if you can't think of anything, here's a few suggestions:
• Drink warm chamomile tea.
- Chamomile is an herb that relaxes the nerves, depending on your level of stress you may need more than one bag. I vary from 1 to 4 bags at a time.
• Read a fictional book.
- Preferably a dystopian sort of fiction. Why? Well, I like to read those sorts or watch those sorts of movies so I can role play in my imagination. Taking yourself out of your uncomfortable situation and putting yourself into one that's appealing to you, causes you to forget what you were stressed about. Not everyone is into this, so a good comedy will do just as fine.
• Confide in a trustworthy person.
- I'm not one to talk about my feelings, however whenever I do muster up some boldness to speak, I feel so much better after I talk to my best friend or boyfriend. It feels like a literal weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. Talk to a best friend, significant other, a neighbor, someone you can trust and you'll definitely feel better. It may not cure all your troubles, but you'll feel better.
Personally, I deal with many things and it's unlike me to tell anyone when I'm facing a problem within myself and it's not often people ask me how I'm doing, which is probably because my answer is always 'I'm fine.' So, that being the case, I know others deal with things by keeping their issues to themselves and not dealing with it in a health manner, I figured I'd make this post for those who are looking for better solutions or a solution period. So, yeah there's that I hope this helped someone, anyone at all because that would mean a lot. Remember, always come to me if you feel like you want to talk about whatever, I'm always here!
This isn't goodbye, this is see you later, until next time!

Meet Ann Gichuhi
You may recognize this African beauty from the viral video that surfaced earlier this year, of her belting out a few lyrics of Tink's Treat Me like Somebody. The one video that changed so much so quickly. I got an opportunity to speak to Ann earlier this month, here's how our convo went:
First things first, thanks so much for taking time out for this, it means a lot! I've admired your voice ever since I've heard it, how old are you? If you don't mind my asking.
I'm 16 and no problem thank you for giving me this opportunity.
No problem! You seem like such a driven person as far as your career is concerned, to be so young that's so commendable. A lot of teens are still just trying to get through school everyday. Now, I know you're involved in various things, acting, modeling and singing, what sparked your interest in that sort of career choice?
I love the arts and I wanted to make my dream of become the "next big thing" a reality. The arts can do so much as far as impact and move people's lives and it's just an amazing feeling. my experiences so far when someone tells me I changed how they feel it is an unexplainable amazing feeling.
Completely agree with the arts being able to change lives, their impact on some people is very inspiring! It's great to have such a passion at such a young age is beautiful, how are you able to maintain such everything and keep your drive? With your career and schooling, I'm sure things can get hectic.
What drives me is the fact that I want to show the world NOTHING is impossible. We here that a lot but sometimes it's hard to believe. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think Nicki would post a video of me singing on her Instagram. I manage somehow l also work and I'm an intern in the process of getting my CNA license and I have school. It's a lot but I like being busy. If I want to be in the industry I might as well get used to having a plateful
That's great that you want to show that nothing's impossible, so many get deterred from following their dreams because they think it's just that: a dream, impossible. Speaking of Nicki, I definitely wanted to touch on that! How did that feel? And the almost instant attention that received from it? I love her, I know I more than likely would've passed out instantly!
I was having the worst day that day and I worked my first double it seemed like everything was going downhill. I texted my manger and told her how awful my day was going and I was even crying that's how bad of a day it was. I put all my notifications off because I was going to sleep then Kenneth called me and told me she posted me and my tears went from tears of sadness to tears of joy! I turned my notifications on and it was just crazy my followers poured in I was so happy and thankful and I hope I get the opportunity to thank Nicki in person because that REALLY brightened up my day
My day was brightened for you! Lol, I'm so happy for you love. How is it, dealing with all this new attention and things? I'm sure your name was well known enough from where your from but now you have a fan base! How does that feel?
It's honestly so amazing I love people who show support and I'm always open to interacting with people. It warms my heart when people tell me I inspire them
Well you're definitely a product of "do what you love and it'll pay off". I can't wait to see you accept your first award in front of thousands love, I know it'll happen. Have there been an obstacles that you've had to over come in this journey so far?
I had to learn how to brush off the negative comments and focus more on the positive. That's very important and thank you love I'm going to work hard for it
With talent and success comes many haters, but for every hater you get, you gain 2 more fans, that's always what I think, lol not sure if that helps but yeah. Last question babe, for other people around your age trying to pursue what they love, do you have any advice for them?
Thank you I'll remember that and yes I do NEVER give up. EVER. Don't let anyone tell you how "realistic" your dreams are. Prove to them that anything is possible. It will be heard, but be patient great things come over time
I love that, I'll try to remember that myself. Thanks again so much for taking the time out to talk with me babe! I can't wait to watch you blossom into the star you truly are
Thanks again for the opportunity and no problem enjoy the rest of your day!

Talking with Ann was such a fun thing! I always wanted to know how her lived turned all crazy and how it was affecting her and her humble attitude towards it all is definitely inspiring. She's surely an example for those pursing careers in this industry, any industry really, continue to do what you love and it will pay off sooner or later, just keep your passion and things will fall in place.
Keep with Ann on Instagram: @TheOfficialAnn & Twitter: @TheOfficialAnn_
This isn't goodbye, it's see you later, until next time loves!
Now, if you follow me on Instagram, you may or may not be able to tell I'm addicted. I tried to give it up, but it was hard, I really love it, such an easy pastime. However, while it may be fun, dandy and something that can spread a lot of positive messages, it along with other social media platforms such as Twitter and Tumblr, has helped society in shaping beauty into what they want us to see it as.
People have witnessed cyber-bullying in subtle forms and may have flagged it off and laughed about it, taking it lightly. As an on looker, it's very easy to do so. However, any form of cyber bullying is no laughing matter, subtle or not, if any sign of such a thing is seen and you have the power to speak up, do it. You never know what the person on the receiving end may actually be going through or how hard they may take words.
So many people everyday are looked up to just because of their looks (i.e., Kylie Jenner, India Westbrooks) and because of so many of these camera-ready looking people, young girls and guys are judged and ridiculed based off of their failure to match-up to what society and the industry is deeming as beautiful. These days, if your boobs aren't huge, your eyebrows aren't done, your lips aren't full or you can't darn near use your butt as a table, you're lacking beauty. I think it's such a disgusting thing honestly, not to put down those who are looked up to because they are very beautiful and it's not their fault that they're used as idols in such a way.

I don't normally speak on issues such as these, but they do touch me dearly and I feel so hurt when I hear of someone going as far as taking their on lives because of an insecure keyboard bully who is so unhappy with themselves and how they look, that they have to make others unhappy themselves as well. No one is too high and mighty to face this either, there are celebrities who are still deeply offended by things said to them over the internet, to think for the thousands of fans they have, there's still a handful that take time out of their day to say nasty and hurtful words to them.
I've never been a victim of this, however I have witnessed it, and I remember the times I could have stood up for someone who couldn't do so for themselves and neglected to do so. I'm no saint either, I won't sit here and act as though I haven't picked on someone, or made fun of someone for some idiotic reason but I can tell you it was out of sure insecurities. People put others down to feel higher about themselves, or to get some sort of comfort knowing someone feels a certain pain and lowliness that they feel.
I won't get super deep with all this because I do tend to ramble, however the point of this is, if you have the power to end it, end it. If you have the power to make a stand, then stand. Don't worry about what anyone may say about you, you'll know that someone is appreciative for your bravery. If you're the one being bullied or ridiculed, stand up for yourself, so others that you aren't a victim or powerless and that you have a voice. Above all these things, something I've learned with the assistance of my role model Demi Lovato, Love Yourself Always - and when it's time to fight back killing with kindness is a thing btw.
Anyways, yeah, just wanted to share that. Hope everyone has a great week.
This isn't goodbye, it's see you later, until next time!
Philly's On The Rise: Hot spots, Hot shops and People to look out for!
review Friday, October 02, 2015
So, I'm all about #PhillySupportPhilly and I've always known that Philadelphia was a talented city and also fun (when no one's getting hurt cause y'all know Philly can get a little crazy!) but it wasn't until recently that I honestly took time to notice that talent and hidden gems that we're loaded with. So, this is me acknowledging at least a few of my favorites who fall under these categories:
I'm always on the lookout for a new place to grab some goodies on my days that I'm cheating on my diet (just about every other day), so let me tell you, you do not understand the happiness I felt upon discovering Pink Ice Cafe Location: 5512 Lancaster Ave
Currently a student at the lovely Toni & Guy Academy, this coming up Stylist and self-taught MUA does it all. From wigs to weaves to natural, all while giving your face 'beatdown' you've been wanting. All in reasonable pricing btw, hit her up before she's off in hollywood and unavailable! ♥
While we're on the topic of threats in city, another fave MUA/Stylist of mine, Nauteya Whyee IG: @fashionrebellion_
This fashionista has always caught my eye when it came to her slaying someones face, this beautiful young queen is definitely one to keep your eyes on in this industry, she'll be doing big things in the very near future. Book her before she's somewhere doing makeup for your celebrity WCW!

Those were just a few places and people I wanted to share with you guys, you think I missed someone? Let me know! I'll include in my next POTR post!

All your on the run food needs, as well as tending to your sweet tooth. Labelled as Philly's New Hot spot, I'm nearly 100% positive you'll have no complaints about them! Can't wait to get my hands on one their delicious shakes topped with some brownie bits, yum!
I don't know about your personal fashion taste, but I've been in need for some great vintage wear and I finally found the perfect place! Heres2CoolStuff Location: 1214 South Street
Just from the few pieces in the picture, don't you just want to take Friday check and run to their door?! Well, I sure do. I discovered them on Instagram, and let me tell you I fell in love! Not only are their clothes great, but their prices are just as great as well! Listen, just take my word for it and check them out, you won't regret it!
Okay, enough of the places, let's talk about people to look out for!
Let's talk triple threat, MUA, Hair stylist and Creative genius? Yes, she's talented in many, but let's pick one. Hair huntyyyy. Chelsea Gray IG: @SlaysofGray
