So, I have a serious question for you guys:
Say your spouse/significant other, however you refer to them, cheats on you, this is their first offense - Do you forgive and forget, or throw in the towel?
So, I love talking about music. I love discovering artists I've never heard of on music sites, so with that being said, I want to start sharing my favorite songs of the month with you guys and you share your faves with me, ok? Ok. Now, my taste is pretty diverse honestly, so don't be alarmed when you see a big contrast in genre.
So, let's get out the way because the trap princess in me is screaming:
Dave East - Deposits (East Mix)
First of all, I'm in love with this man. Ok? Ok. But in all seriousness, the flow of this song, the rough edges of it, all of it. I listen to this song probably way too many times in a day.
Labrinth - Jealous
So I use to see this song every where, I just never cared to listen to him or it. Such a dumb decision, I absolutely LOVE this song. It's so (hashtag) relate-able! The fact that the beat and music is so simplistic and allows you to actually listen to the lyrics is so beautiful. Love this song. (PS do not listen to this if you just saw your ex with someone else because you will CRY).
Russ - Pull the Trigger
It's like, reggae meets hip hop in the DOPEST WAY. Just listen to it. He's a new fave of mine
Calum Scott - Dancing On My Own (slowed down version)
I discovered him a while ago on Britain's Got Talent, loved him and never checked for him again. So, during my new music search on Youtube I came across this and fell in love. I hope you fall in love too.
BISHOP - River
This is more on the EDM side I suppose? It came on my pandora and I almost immediately changed it because of this creepy behind cover but if you're into that genre or anything remotely close it, like House Music, you'll love this.

So yeah, I don't have a huge playlist for you guys this go round but definitely tell me some of your favorite artists, underground or mainstream and let me hear them!

This isn't goodbye, it's see you later. Until next time!
I figured I would begin to break up my posts in segments. There will be a music segment, an every day topic segment, and there will be my favorite segment: Hashtag (#) Relatable. In this segment, we will discuss a range of things, from serious matters to issues we may face everyday just as people.
This week, it will be on a bit of a serious note, because I personally feel it's something that should be addressed: Mental Health in the African American Community
Hi my loves!
I know, I know. Again, I've disappeared into the night and magically reappeared, I'm sorry honestly, truly. HOWEVER, I have perfectly good reasons. I've been so busy guys, you legit do not understand. So let me catch you up!
1. I'm now a proud hair ambassador!
My best friend, Chelsea Gray, has been working so hard in perfecting her craft and putting so much sweat and time into this and finally I can announce House Of Posh Hair is now up and running! You guys should most certainly check her out immediately if you're into protective styling and hair extensions or wigs. I'm not just saying that because I love her either, I take my extensions very seriously and I promise you, this is some quality stuff! They're managable, they last, they take to coloring very well and it's always little-to no shedding, even with (my fave texture) Coco Curly, which if you know hair you know the curlier the hair, the more shedding. Not with this! Use my discount code POSHELLA for $10 off, thank me later.

2. I'm writing a book!
So obvi, I love to write. Also, if you follow me on social media you'll know I'm a serious book worm (send me some book suggestions btw!). So, after much deliberation, I've begun writing my own book! It'll be posted on Wattpad for all to see. The story follows a young girl who meets a guy online in her college years, who seems too good to be true. Though her best friend warns her against pursing online relationships because of the chat-room horror stories we've all heard, she continues anyway. But when her online beau begins to get a bit too... passionate, she soon finds out the hard way that maybe things aren't always what they seem. If you'd like to know more details, or would like to follow me on Wattpad, just let me know!
3. Musiccccc!
So, here's a bit of a secret. I've always wanted to be a singer. As a child, I'd sing for my family, write up my own little songs and sing them in my room, but I strayed away from it all as I got older for various reasons. In doing so, I'd lost my confidence. Well, I decided to stop being so scared and just jump into and see what happens. Amazing things have been happening since! I've been a bunch of great folks who are also in the business or one quite similar, so many good vibes to be around, gained supporters I never knew I'd have and so much more. I'm currently working on a couple of songs at the moment, hopefully I will be able to share something with you all by the time my birthday comes around, but yeah!

Those are the updates for now, I know it doesn't seem like much but trust me it's all time consuming. I'm here now though babies! Plus my site is re-done! I plan to post more music and lifestyle sorts of posts, have more interviews up for guys so you can check out the awesome folks that I run into. Don't forget too that you guys can suggest things! Music, artists, people whom you'd like to see get interviewed and get more attention, an advice post or an opinion post. Literally, ANYTHING you guys want, please don't hesitate to let me know! Via Instagram, Twitter or the contact form on this site. I love hearing from you guys and I truly missed it! Here's to new beginnings folks!

This isn't goodbye, it's see you later. Until next time!
Seems like a few artists decided to end August off the right way! Tink and Frank Ocean (I was just as surprised) are just a few who decided to throw some new tunes our way to vibe out to for the last of our summer nights.
Well look at this! I didn't even know he had an album coming so soon to be completely honest, but I'll get into my motivation for buying it later. Let me first say, I LOVE the setup of this album. The story flow of it all, I thoroughly enjoy albums/mixtapes that are made in that way. The "Say It" artist definitely will make an impact with this one, believe me!
Yes, that title was the best I come up with, don't come for me please. ANYWAY, I've been gone for MONTHS! You guuyysss, did you miss me? No? Well, that's awkward. I would give you a little update but I'm sure you aren't concerned. Let's get to the point of this post.
Meet Destiny
I met this doll, once again through Instagram (gettin' a little creepy, isn't it?) I had the opportunity to be featured on her blog a little while back and now I've been honored to return the favor! This beautiful soul stands for all that is woman and all that is melanin. She even has a section dedicated to it on her website! We'll get into that later, check out our conversation below
Meet Cassidy Wilmot
This young star in the making is actually one of my favorite young YouTubers! You can tell this young lady is definitely about her business, she makes me want to be the same way. Check out what the star in the making and I talked about
Meet Shydeia
Its been a while since I've done one of these, hasn't it?
As you all should know by know, I am always scoping out instagram pages and that is how I discovered one of the most beautiful organizations that I've seen in years: Black Girl Magik. The name is sort of self-explanatory, and I had the privilege of speaking with the South Carolina based founder, who is 1/4 of what seems to be an amazing team and is also a college senior majoring in African American Studies (yeah, she's poppin). Keep reading to see what this beautiful soul and I discussed.
Needless to say, there's not much positivity in our world today, especially for our youth. With that being the case, if you follow me on social media, you know that I'm all for spreading a positive message and uplifting others and things of this nature, so imagine the overwhelming joy I felt when coming across one of (if not the biggest) the biggest youth organizations in Philly! Who am I speaking of? None other than the amazing RoleMODELS!
I'm 5 days late but better late than never!!
I wonder if the years to come look at the current year and get nervous like, "Oh man, maybe I should wait another month." I don't know, just thinking, but anyways, it's the new year!

LETS GET SERIOUS.
I found out that the state has threatened (yes, this is a threat), to close all Philadelphia Schools in 2016. It genuinely made me sick, they believe that this is suppose to help what? Who is this going to benefit?
